A Prayer for Reinforcements
Lord, I’m asking you to intervene,
in these struggles that I face;
For I need special reinforcements
from your matchless throne of grace.
The road ahead looks rocky;
The sky above looks gray....
And I know I cannot make it Lord,
unless you lead the way.
So many times you’ve stood by me,
and I’m sure you will again...
For when I really put my trust in you,
it will never be in vain.
So, teach me Lord to trust you more,
to believe, and not to doubt;
and set my feet on solid ground.
When I’m confused and tossed about.
Lord, help me not to fret and fear
to have peace amidst life’s storms,
and remind me there is refuge-Lord,
in your everlasting arms.
Restore my courage when it fails...
And my strength each day renew,
increase my faith when it grows weak,
and give to me a brighter view.
And should I start to feel defeated....
Help me look up - instead of down,
and when impatience overtakes me
teach me to smile and not to frown.
Now, I know I’m asking for a lot,
but I believe you’ll see me through,
for what’s impossible for m....
is not even hard for you.
So I’d like to thank you in advance....
That you’ve sending help my way;
And make of me a yielded vessel, Lord,
In Jesus’  Name - I humbly pray.
