I started going to the Ladies Healing Class shortly after I rededicated my life to the Lord. So many times, I would ask the ladies "pray for my husband and son."

My faith was strengthened and my burdens made lighter, through our praying and sharing each others burdens.

I went through a physical illness, and had surgery Feb 3d, which I feel was the Lord's plan for my husband's salvation. The morning I had surgery, Pastor Long was there. My husband spent the morning with him, talking. He also met Nancy Lawson, and others from the Church, that came to visit while I was recovering.

He said he had never felt such love from people, who never really knew him. In a visit from Nancy, she invited him to church, and he promised he would come.

The mission conference was that week, and he came every night but one. During the conference, my son rededicated his life to the Lord. My husband was there that night.

I went to the alter with my son. When I came back and sate down with my husband he had tears in his eyes and was shaking.  I knew the Lord was dealing with him.  I just felt a peace in my heart, I'd never had before.

Well, on March 11th, the night before the blizzard, Pastor Long and Brother Treavor came to visit. That very night, Nancy and Nina had planned to come visit also.  Nancy and Nina got here before the Preacher. So, Nancy and Nina went next door to my sons, and let them talk to my husband.

I guess we were there forty minutes or so when they came in the door at my sons. When my husband walked through the door, he was a changed person. He had accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior.

I thank God for you ladies, for your love and prayers and support! Your sincere caring. Never doubt what the Lord can do. Or how He uses us and what an impact you can have on people's lives, when you let the Lord lead you. Each of you are truly a blessing to us.

            The “Ladies Healing for the Hurting’ class is a unique ministry

         of Liberty Baptist Church. Many of today’s women face challenges

         and difficult trials and testings. They need someone who can offer

         them hope for the future. Daily each of us encounter those who

         are depressed, discouraged, disillusioned with life and those who

         feel rejected. These people must know that our LORD cares about

         their trials and knows their needs. Ladies who have found that

         GOD’s grace is sufficient for every need must share this hope with

         those who feel hopeless. This ministry points hurting and wounded

         ladies to the ONLY source of strength and comfort, to the GOD of

         all comfort. This class stresses the need for each individual lady to

         accept CHRIST as her personal Saviour and the necessity of daily

         Bible reading, and searching the scriptures for the strength and

         encouragement found in HIS WORD. Ladies are encourages to

         trust CHRIST with their situation even though they do not

         understand the reason behind their trials.

             Another blessing of this class is the sharing that takes place.

         Ladies meet other ladies who are facing similar circumstances, and

         learn to bear one another’s burdens. Each lady is challenged to

         encourage others through phone calls, through sending cards, and

         more importantly, through their prayers for one another.

             In this class no one is embarrassed because of shedding

         tears, because we can cry together, sensing the pain and hurting

         of the broken hearted.

             Then there are times of laughter and rejoicing as prayers are

         answered.

             I believe that GOD will greatly use this class in the future as

         other ladies are encourages to visit the class. There are hurting,

         wounded ladies out there. Let’s reach them with the hope that

         JESUS CHRIST provides.

I was at a tune in my life when all things seemed

         too much for me. I sat and tried to come up with a

         reason than I was so depressed, downhearted, anxious,

         nervous, and felt hopeless. The only thing I came up

         with was why am I this way? The stress points which

         one could count I for feeling this way were not there.

         My husband was very supportive, however, I was sick with

         depression. I was unable to perform simple tasks, I

         just did not have the energy. This was a valley that I

         was going through that GOD had allowed, it was not a

         new kind of valley, I had been there before, but the

         circumstances were different, because I knew what was

         causing the trauma to my life then. The solution however

         was the same. GOD heals all hurts. At a time when I was

         unable to read, concentrate, and listen, GOD was making

         a class to help me and others with hurts and hard times.

         It was the same kind of a therapy that a doctor might

         advise for a person with depression, except this group

         had THE GREAT PHYSICIAN as a doctor. He was in control,

         he was always there, he cared so much for me, he gave

         me time I needed, he gave me friends to hold my hand and

         pray for me and say they cared too. He gave me a Sunday

         School class to attend, to talk with others and claim

         victories together. I just trusted him even though at

         times I was trembling. I still trusted, claimed the

         victory. I came through this valley with CHRIST JESUS

         as my guide. I still have times that Satan tries to

         discourage me and kick me down. I claim all the promises

         and praise him! I can do all things through CHRIST

         JESUS who strengthens me. His grace is sufficient for me.

         He shall cover thee with his feathers and under his wings

         shalt thou trust, his truth shall be thy shield and

         buckler. For he shall give his angels charge over thee,

         to keep thee in all my ways. In the time that I am

         afraid, I will trust in them. We all need to stand

         together against Satan and pressures of this life and to

         help bear one another’s burdens. I thank GOD for Sister

         Nancy and Sister Russell who answered GOD’S call. The

         class has been a tremendous blessing to me. So if there

         is someone who might read this and needs help just read

         GOD’S word, claim the victory, and Fear Thou Not, for I

         Am with thee, Be not dismayed for I AM thy COD, I will

         strengthen thee, yea I will help thee, yea I will uphold

         thee with the right hand of My righteousness.

WHEN I FIRST CAME TO LIBERTY BAPTIST I WAS SEARCHING

         FOR A CHURCH I COULD HEAR THE TRUTH TAUGHT AND BE ABLE TO

         WORSHIP GOD TOGETHER WITH His PEOPLE. I WAS TORN BETWEEN

         THE LADIES HEALING CLASS AND THE MARRIED COUPLES CLASS

         IN BOTH CLASSES I FELT WELCOMED AND I HEARD TEACHING FROM

         BOTH CLASSES THAT BLESSED ME. I CHOSE THE LADIES HEALING

         CLASS TO ATTEND REGULARLY FOR A COUPLE OF REASONS. IT

         IS A GROUP OF LADIES WHO HAVE SUFFERED A LOT OF SPIRITUAL

         HEARTACHES BUT THEY COME TOGETHER BELIEVING GOD CAN AND

         WILL HEAL THEIR BROKEN HEARTS. THEY PRAY TOGETHER AND

         CRY TOGETHER AND SHARE ONE ANOTHER'S BURDENS. SINCE MY

         HUSBAND CAN NOT ATTEND CHURCH WITH ME, AND SO MANY OF THE

         OTHER LADIES IN THIS CLASS DON'T HAVE HUSBANDS ATTENDING

         CHURCH WITH THEM, I FEEL AT HOME IN THIS CLASS.

           THE LAW OF CHRIST.

               [HE LADIES CLASS HAS HELPED MAKE THIS VERSE REALITY.

           FOR ME. WE SHALL A SPECIAL FELLOWSHIP AS WE MINISTER TO

           THE NEEDS OF LADIES. AS WE FIND TOGETHER IN PRAYER, GOD

           HAS BOUND US TOGETHER. I THANK GOD FOR His GUIDANCE AND

           LEADERSHIP IN EACH LESSON. THIS CLASS AND EACH OF THE

           LADIES HAS BEEN A BLESSING AND AN INSPIRATION TO ME.

BEING A NEW COMER TO THE LADIES HURTING AND HEALING

         CLASS I HAVE FOUND SUCH STRENGTH AND ENCOURAGEMENT. ITS

         ALWAYS HELPFUL TO HAVE SOME ONE WHO UNDERSTANDS WHAT THE

         DAILY STRESSES OF LIFE ARE. THE CARDS AND LETTERS AND

         PHONE CALLS I HAVE RECEIVED FROM THE HEALING CLASS HAVE

         ALWAYS COME JUST AT THE RIGHT TIME WHEN I NEEDED THEM

         MOST. I TREASURE THEM AND READ THEM OVER MANY TIMES.

The Ladies class at Liberty Baptist Church has been a great joy to me. God has blessed me many times      through the teaching and hearing the ladies talk. The bear bags has been a great joy to many people. I have taken several of the bags to people with cancer or give to somebody that knows somebody with cancer. I have also given some of the bags for encouragment. It is a great joy just to see the look on peoples faces when you give them a bag. God is so good. My heart is so blessed just to see the way God works through the little things. I thank God for being a part of the ladies class at Liberty. If you ever need to be encouraged just come by and visit us at Liberty Baptist Church and visit our ladies class. God will truly bless you.

       For with God all things are possible. He is our strength and our help. May God bless you all.
